Luau Saturday

Funny...

This was actually my mom's counsin's birthday. They came up with this Luau Party for her 60th birthday party. And it was nice seeing people with dressed up in Hawaiian shirts and skirts with matching Leis.

I never really had a clue about her because we are not really close to some of our relatives. One reason was because of the distance from their place to ours. Next is probably because my mom hasnt really put too much emphasis on their relationship. There were some relatives there as well whom I havent seen for quite some time and this party served as a reunion. But then since we were late and we left early, we didnt have the chance to have a picture taken with the birthday celebrant. So what we did was just take pictures while we were there.

Random Thoughts...

- Just had footspa today with pedicure, wonder why I didnt have manicure as well.

- I love sleeping during rest days, why can't I sleep now?

- I have to trim down more, God take away the cravings!

- Why haven't I thought of goin to the gym? Urgh! Additional expenses!!

- I had skin peeling on the first week of March, my son has been waiting for the spots to disappear. I have to tell him, "its does not disappear like magic baby".

- Why did I prioritize fixing my teeth when my face needs major overhauling?

- Until when will I be working in this industry? Dont I really have any other choice?

- From Puerto Princessa to Cebu to Boracay. Who would have thought this will happen to me?

- What if we click??? What if we dont???

- I dont have a swimsuit and flipflops yet! Geez... this is what you call Summer last-minute-shopping.

- Now I believe that when one a door closes, a window opens. (Will write an entry about this once everything is "good").

- Hazel is on her 6th month of pregnancy. She will be gone again... Pity me!

- When will I have another baby? My ovaries are complaining already, I dont make use of them... ahahah!!

- I got my student driver's license back in December but until now, I dont know how to drive yet!

- I even dreamed last night about this. Me, TL and Hazel (still pregnant, mind u!) I was driving TL's car (which is very far from reality). Hazel drove first actually and I just replaced her. She was a bad driver as well. And even if Khenzo was all bruised and dented, we were all laughing because of the experience.

- I am waiting patiently for him... *dreaming* God!!! I just realize... 9 days more!!!

- I am happy and I deserve it!:-)

Missing You

I love it when you say you miss me
cuz I know it means that I am in your thoughts
May it be in fragments or just a moment
It means so much for the longing heart in me...

I am not good in deciphering codes
I can also be clueless until given the hint
But I can never ignore a great man's heart
To make me feel loved in every part of me...

Your ways are just amazing
Your words keep me in awe
Your voice make me not only miss you more
But cries for the warmth of your touch.

Hope it will not end here

and I hope that what would bind us is not what we say...

......... But what we feel.

What You Have Done...

Somewhere between your hi's and hello's
a connection has been made
no science could ever explain
but only the heart can comprehend.

It is not by ordinary routine
nor by erratic chance
when you would find someone
who will linger forever in your thoughts
but some wont stay to cause you good
neither to complete your missing puzzle.

Words arent just made to express your feelings
sincerity should emerge from your lines
for delicate hearts reading these
would fall into your pit of endearment.

Thoughts, how simple may it seem
would always be enough for a crying heart.
no need to exaggerate, no need to put too much metaphors.
mean it dear... mean your every word...

I am here
whether you're awake or asleep
you will always feel my touch
in every corner of your heart
and i want you to feel this longing
that only you only fulfill.

To You... Yes, You!!!!

In just a few days from now, I will be seeing you
We will meet each other face to face
I will see that you are for real
And I will see your soul in those eyes

This will be a proof of our friendship.
After the years on constant hi's and hello's
Finally your presence will make a difference
And will prove more of what you are and what we could be.

This would be the first time
And first time is hard
This can make or break us
But I know we can work it out

Hope this would be a start of something wonderful
We both may not know what road is ahead of us
But I keep my fingers crossed
That we may share something forever.

To you, my special one
I can only say thank you
For your kindness, trust and generosity
Whatever your reason is for doing this
I can only be grateful... til the end.

Best Friends

When I went out last Friday to finish something, a friend of mine had to ask why I go out on my own. He had to ask where my best friend is and why didnt I ask her to go out with me since he knows that I dont have a boyfriend at the moment.

I suddenly felt lonely ... After realizing that it has been months since I have last seen them and that I miss their company.

Yeah, I have 2 bestfriends. And they dont know each other. (Para walang away at selosan)

The first I have is Vina, whom I have met when I was in High School. It started out when I joined their dance group - TOO YOUNG GUYZ. Corny pa un pangalan aheheh!!! I was not asked to join by the way, ahehehe... I just volunteered.:-)

The rest is history so to speak. But what is vivid in my memory is that, she has been with me althrough out the years in High School. I was also her match maker and her chaperon, aheheh... I set up their secret meetings and I would relay messages for them. She ended up marrying that guy :-).... but not for long :-(

With Vina and her partner Borgie last December 2008.

The second is Ana, whom I have met when I was in college. Our beginning is a bit different from what I had with Vina. Ana and I started with a fight, a fight I really didnt intend to happen. Her personality is just different with mine. But after that incident, we realized that we have something for each other.

She has seen me in my most trying times. She was with me when I got pregnant and when I was still trying to recover from the pain of my failed relationship with the dad of my kid. I have spent some time with her and her family more than my own family when I was in college. I lived in their place and we slept in one bed ...just like real sisters.

During my visit last year at her place after 7 years of no communication.

Sad to say, we have our own priorities now. Ana has 2 kids already and is living in Dasmariñas, Cavite. Vina on the other hand, has one daughter and has a partner and is living in Sta. Rosa Laguna. I can try to do the effort to meet up with them, but I have my own priorities as well. I dont have the time in my hands. Plus, I have a different schedule. Though Vina and I both work at night, our rest days are different.

I really miss their friendship and their company. They are the people who know me inside and out. With whom I can tell my innermost thoughts. With whom I can be my self regardless of the situation.

I dont know if I would still have another one in this life time. Hopefully I can find one who will stick with me throughout the rest of my life.

My Greatest Fear

I was asked by a friend thru text what my greatest fear is. At that moment, I wasnt able to give out any answer because I was not in the mood to reply to the question. But the question rang thru my mind over and over again. It also made me thought what I really fear the most in my life.

At the age of 28, I envy my friends who at the late 20's of their age already has a family of their own and is managing their lives pretty well. Who has detached themselves to their parents and is already running their lives like they should. I also envy those single friends of mine who manages to keep up with life on their own without or less responbilities. They, who the problem is only to get by day by day. Who doesnt have other people to worry about but themselves.

It's not that I regret that I have a kid. A big NO! My son has been the most special gift I have. First because, I realized that I can bear a child, a healthy and normal child. Second is that, I found out that I wouldnt be having a sensitive pregnancy unlike other people who are advised by their physicians to stay in bed until the due date( which actually happened to my cousin's wife ). And lastly, I have proven that I can rear my kid according to the norm.

So what's my greatest fear then?

I actually have a few... and I know you would understand why.

I am afraid of getting old alone. Soon as my son wishes to marry his dream girl, I would be left on my own. Though my son has asked me several times if im willing to take care of his kid, I know there would be a lot of changes in our lives that we have to go through and making plans right now will be futile.

I am afraid of losing my loved ones. You would all agree with me on this. Not only my family but also those people whom I have shared my life with. It takes time for me to get over, thats a fact. How I wish my parents wont get old that fast...

I am afraid that I wont be able to fulfill what is expected from me. Whatever the case may be, may it be work related or with regard to family issues. This has happened to me a lot of times before and I know I need to make it up to them. I dont know how and when to start but I know it can be NOW.

Sometimes the more you fear of something, the more that it would be given to you just to challenge you or test your personality. Whatever is in store for me I would gladly welcome it and learn from the experience.

It's not too late... I know I still have the chance to make it up. I just hope I would always have the support from my friends and my family.

So there, I have shared mine. What's yours?

It is INDEED your Turn

Finally, it is your turn to have an entry in my blog KUMANDER!!! You deserve it since you will be (sadly) be having your own team.

You got it right! She just got promoted! Our TSL Kumander will no longer be our TSL.

This is REALLY a good news for her and her family. After being promoted last year to a TSL, this year she is promoted again!!! That should prove something right?

I will miss her. Truly... I will miss her stories regarding her colorful lovelife. I will miss our heart to heart talk during coaching our sessions. I will also miss her, sometimes provoking approach. And most of all, I will miss our friendship.

I will always think of the day that I cried to you... When I was having a bad day and a bad case of heartache. You got me enlightened and renewed.

I just hope that you will take with you the culture that we have in the team. That you will continue to grow in your field. That you will improve with your leadership skills and that you will never forget what your TL has honed you to be.

Thanks for everything girl. I know you deserve this promotion. I will still see you.

Congratulations!!!

Farewell Ronald a.k.a Radiskull

No dull moments ika nga.

Ikinibit balikat ko muna since wala pang confirmation. At dito namin nakumpirma...

Goodbye Yoy!!! We will always miss you!!!

Happy Yoy pics...

On Chris Brown and Rihanna

I'm not really a fan of the couple. Honestly, I wasn't even aware that they were until the incident(that's one of the perks of working in a call center). But why post something about it? Because if the accusations are true, Rihanna and I will have something in common...

Year 2000. My ex and I have already parted ways. There was no commitment. But we still see each other often since we went to the same school in college. Aside from that, my kid was with him. I just visit their pad everyday to take care of our kid. Most often, I would stay there and sleep there for days. During that time, we still do what we used to do as a couple(if you know what I mean). At school, we would still go together on our classes and during breaks. Just for companionship, I guess. Although I would admit that during that time, I was still hoping that we would still be able to patch things up. I have greatly loved this guy. Of course, I have a kid with him. I thought the baby would actually be the reason for us to stay together; that the kid will be binding us together, but I was wrong.

It occured after class. I went straight to his place to do the usual mother thing. He then arrived with his girlfriend (mind you, he was already married at this point. Womanizer!) This gave me a little pinch. How could he bring this girl here? Where his son could see? Where's his respect for me and our kid? But knowing the type of "relationship" we were into, I had to keep my thoughts and control my temper. I couldnt show how jealous I was. I had to pretend that it was ok. What I had in mind then was, he was fooling his wife, not me. But it still effin' hurts.

I went outside to check them out. I was able to greet them with a smile. After a few exchange of hypocrisy, my ex had to get inside. Me and the girl were left in that awkward and unusual situation. While trying to scrutinize the type of girl that she was, I noticed that she was wearing a ring that looks the same as mine. What the F?!!! I had to ask the girl where that ring came from and she replied that it was given by my EX. I thought I lost mine a few weeks back and seeing it with her triggered something else. This called for a fight.

I forgot what respect meant at that moment. I felt my heart plummeted. My blood rushing in my head, boiling at 100 degrees. I even felt my mind saying to grab her hand and take off the ring. I wanted to scream for the multiple events of disrepect in just one day. How could he?!!!

When he got back, I immediately asked him where my ring was. In front of his girlfriend I confronted him. With fury eyes and a heart ready to palpitate anytime. After series of interrogations about the ring, he led me inside the house. And there it happened.

The first blow of his fist was in the bathroom. Why in the bathroom? Since I got scared with his threats I tried to walk away from him. But as I step back he would take a step ahead. The bathroom was the dead end. I knew at that point that he was serious about hurting me. And he did. The first punch was supposed to be in my face, but I had to avoid it so his fist landed at the back of my ear. There was a big contusion.

Next thing I know, I was in our room packing my stuff and my kid's. While packing, we still said mean things to each other. I for one was very furious and I felt a dymamite just blew. He then hit me in my stomach. Not only once... I curled in bed like a fetus because of the pain. One landed in my arm. It left a big purple-reddish mark. This was when I cried. The anger and the pain was so much for me to take. Never have I imagined that stories about battered wives or partners would actually happen to me... At the early age of 19.

I continued packing our things. I was so determined to leave that hell with my kid and never to go back. I swore that I would no longer be seeing him and that I would be keeping my kid away from him. I thought my sobs would soften his heart but unfortunately it didnt. It didnt stop there.

He dragged me out of his house. A guy who's 5'9 in height dragged me like a little kid. Careless that my dress would be torn. Not contented with the outbursts earlier. I felt so belittled and abused. After all the love and understanding that I have given him, this was all I would get. Not only emotional pain but also physical.

It was a nightmare. One of those that I never thought would be happen to me. I was able to recover from it but God knows how long I have waited patiently to get over it. I'm still thankful I didnt end up with my ex. If that was the case, this incident would not be the first and last.

I wonder if I could be an advocate for NGOs for women against physical abuse...

Blue on a Red Day

It's Valentine's once again...

For the last 28 years in my life I havent really had a Valentine's Date. I'm talking about dinner by candle light, quiet time in a peaceful mountain gazing at the stars, or just merely surprise visits by a partner with flowers and chocolates.

Its not fancy talking. Some women are really into mushy stuff like me. We dream of having that moment where we would feel that our hearts would be melted by the effort by our partners to make this day extra special. "Kilig Moments" kumbaga.

My heart is still yearning for the love of someone who would unselfishly give my heart's desires. Who would pave the way to make my dream wedding a reality. Who would help me build dreams of having a family with me. Who would accept me wholeheartedly for the woman that I am. Who would relentlessly exert the effort to make me happy. Who would stick with me through think and thin, thru pain and laughter. Who would stay by me til the day I die.

I thought I found him already. I thought I was happy. I thought I was complete. I thought I would never ask more than his love.

But there's more in our relationship... And it had to end....

It has already ended.

Sad truth is reality bites. Not only bites but it swallows you whole. Once you've given something, it would still ask for more, more than what you can take. Take that part of you that you keep for your self til you have no more.

It has taken that dream of being with someone. I got tired. Tired of understanding. My patience got exhausted and drained. It was bitter to say that he never tried to win me back and patch things up. Painful is an understatement.

Nothing could take that lost love and trust which I have worked hard for our relationship. Nothing could glue this broken pieces of my heart. Its unmendable. Its torn. Completely...

I'm still hurting... All I can do is just pray that may God take away the pain and just stop my heart for falling for someone. I dont think I can take another blow. I might not take it anymore...

There goes my Valentine's thoughts....

My Wacky Kid goes Weak

My 9 year old kid has been having LBM since Friday. Though the frequency had already lessened as of yesterday. Nakakahiya man sabihin pero di ko kase masyado sineryoso nun pagkauwi ko ng Friday morning, akala ko kase titigil din un LBM nya after he took some medicines. In short, after a few hours upon arriving, tinulugan ko na sya.

Then I woke up with a loud sound!Followed by a scream! After a few seconds, dumilat na sya at sinabi nya sakin na umiikot paningin nya at wla sya marinig.

Nag "i love you" sya sakin, sabay yakap... di ko napigilan... napaiyak ako.

It was a very touching moment...

From Raech

Its so overwhelming that people would see you differently and make you feel great about yourself. I mean, I dont really see me very special but people around me could attest that there is something in me that is superficial.

I want to share a letter from a very close friend whom I have loved and trusted the most. She may be a bit childish and perky to the highest level but she knows how and when to simmer down on serious matters.

I was moved to tears when I read this letter... Simply because I'm hurting... and having her around just makes it a bit lighter...

Just love it....

Drey,

I know how hard it is to let go of someone especially after all the things that you had to go through for him. I also know that no amount of advice from friends, unsolicited or otherwise can ease the pain and make you feel better. I just know that everything is bound to fall into place. It may sound really cheesy, but how could God neglect to see such a wonderful person like you? I believe the Lord knows how much you yearn to find that person who will treat you like a queen and he too is searching patiently through the depths of the earth to find that man worthy of your love. All he asks is for you to wait a little more. In the meantime, allow yourself to mourn for your loss. Make use of the people around you such as your friends and family because unlike love, we never go away, even if you want us to. =)

I adore and love you to bits, Drey!

God Bless.

When to Stop...

My First Composition

Di naman ako music arranger or musician e.

Please Tell me How

Why do this have to happen
When all I've done is for good
Are you really meant for her
This and more I always ask

Feelings I have I cant control
And burstingin tears is all I can do
Loving you is not hard to do
Bur forgetting you is a burden

Chorus:
What should I do
I never wanted anything in this world
Than your love, your sweet love
What should I say
To let you know how I feel inside
How does it hurt
How deep is the wound
Please help me forget
Please tell how

Memories of you I'll always treasure
Happy moments with you I'll cherish
Together with my song
I'll be thinking of you
Til the end of time

Asejia's Passion

At an early age, my son Asejia Renoir is showing signs of creativity and I'm so proud of him. Why not? I am a frustrated artist myself. I have wished that I can put more colors in my drawings(and my life) and be more realistic. But too bad, I am not gifted... Di ako gifted child. Ahehe...

My son is now 9.Just imagine at what age I gave birth to him... Heheheh!!! How time flies so fast!!! His name Asejia was given by his dad which is derived from the word Asia. Renoir on the other hand is the name I have given to him. It is a name of a French Painter. That should explain his passion for Arts.

I'm already keeping a big cabinet for all his drawings. Starting when he was probably 3 or 4. Too bad I was not able to keep those firsts...

By the way, my sister gave him a drawing book and pastel colors for Christmas. He knows how it should look like... Nakakatuwa talaga. Hope this will show a brighter future for him.

These are his first pastel drawings:

Thank you po kay Tita Lexie for the gifts!!! You should be proud of these drawings!!!

Certified Blogista and Camwhore

Who else am I talking about here? Well, for those of you na hindi ko kasama sa work would never know who this creature is, but let me introduce you to the recently self confessed blogger addict!

I won't be telling what our working relationship is. Let us just say that he is one of the people at work that I look up to. (I literally look up to anyone naman e, because of my height ahehe!)We've been working for a year now, (Happy anniversary!) and hopefully we'll be spending a lot of years together.

Kaya naman before going to work or even at work, I make sure that I get to read his blog para may mapagusapan at makapagasaran sa work.

Kaya some of my colleagues are now planning to create their own blogs. Why not? Blog Bandwagon, here they come!

She calls her
self "Blogista Jr". And soon, I might feature her here as well.

Now speaking of camwhoring, tignan nyo na lang ang blog nya at see for yerselves!!!

Click this - Blogista!

Working has never been so light and fun til the time that I worked with him. I have discovered a lot of things about my self thru him and he never grew impatient with me. Masaya at challenging. Maraming spoofs at gimik. Nakakatuwa!

Bad Me

Hindi ako uber bad. Pero let's admit it. We are all bad in some little ways. Aheheh... I believe as long as di ka naman nakakainsulto, nkakasakit at nakakatapak ng tao e, keri lang...

Anyway, I dont really intend to list my bad or nasty attitudes here. Just wanna share some of my bad habits, which I get to realize after 28 effin' years!!! And let me just say that I dont intend to do away with these bad habits... Depende siguro...

1. Pulling strands of my hair. Yup... I naturally have wavy hair. At kapag nangyayari to, I cant help but check on every strand.

2. Starting reading books and eventually losing interest on it. Well, I get to finish some good books naman, kaso lang kapag alam ko na un itatakbo ng story ayoko ng tapusin. Mahilig din ako sumabay sa bandwagon. Meaning, kapag narinig ko that everyone is talking about this book, I will try to read it but yun nga lang, kapag alam ko na ang takbo, aayawan ko na sya.

3. Priorities. Priorities. Priorities. "Duty first before pleasure" sometimes is not applicable to me... I love pleasure if you know what I mean...

5. Smoking. I'm trying to quit,ok. I dont buy packs na. Whenever I have a pack kase, napapalakas ang yosi ko. Pero I still deserve a pat on the back because there are days na natitiis ko na zero-nicotine talaga. Just need to have a little or a lot of persistence.

6. Drinking. I 'm a social drinker. Is that bad?

7. Not paying my credit cards on time. Please refer to the third bullet... That explains it.

8. Removing my shoes at work. I know, I know... Nakakawala sya ng glamour... aheheh... Relaxing kase sya eh... Need I say more? (My feet doesnt have a smell by the way).

9. Resting my legs up at work. Again, another form of relaxation for me...

10. Not visiting my dentist on scheduled appointments. Sorry doc! Hehehe... Refer to number 3 again...

11. Texting my mom. This has been an ongoing issue. Minsan kase or kadalasan I dont text my mom when I will go home late or something. I know I'm old enough to know this but sometimes kase, kahit magpaalam ako pinapagalitan ako. Aheheh.. Love you mama!

12. Gimiks or After-Shift Bonding. I believe I owe this to my self naman... Eto na lang kaligayahan ko e... Masama ba un?

13. Wearing my night gowns or PJ's till late afternoon. Nakakatamad magpalit e.

14. Baby talkin. This is actually my way of putting humor in my daily conversations. Di naman sya nakakainis pakinggan...Cute nga e... Believe me!

15. Setting up a budget and not sticking on it. Again, refer to number 3. Bago dumating ang payday, nakalista na ang dapat bayaran and all but when pay check comes, hellooooooo!!! You know what I mean...

16. Faith, Prayer, Church. Been a backslider for more than 4 years now. Used to be on fire with the Victory Church in Alabang. But in just a snap of a finger, I lost everything. I still have faith, I still believe there is a Creator. But I have a lot of questions which I'm still waiting to be answered.

Whew... This is quite a long list... Meron pang iba actually pero I dont think I can post them all here. Nakakahiya aheheh!!!

So there, gets you to know a bit about me. Friends pa rin tayo ah....

Christmas '08

Another Christmas gathering in our family. It has been the same as it has been the previous years, relatives would go in our house where we would be celebrate and exchange gifts. Guess its only on Christmas that we could be together.

This year has been a little different though. We had other relatives who celebrated with us this time. Relatives whom I have never seen for years now (Auntie Erlie and her husband, Kuya Revie and his wife). And of course, this time we have Bill(mom's husband)to celebrate with us as well.

My sister, Lexie, sadly is still in Korea. I dont know how she celebrated Christmas there but I know that she misses the way Philippines celebrates this season.

Hope I had more things to say, but I think this is all for now since I had to leave during that time... work on Christmas day really sucks!!!

We Lost One Loved one Today....

I woke up at 3:30 this morning with a text from Bhe. After a few exhange of text messages, I had to get up and try to fix something for breakfast. I was surprised to see a cat trying to get into one of the windows at home. The cat was surprised to see as well and it tried a few futile attempts to get into the window. I went to open the door just to make it easier for the cat to get out. But the cat didnt want to do it the easier way, instead, it still reached for the window. Finally, it was out....

Just when I was on my way back to the kitchen, I saw Leeon... The hamster I bought just a few days before Christmas for my son. It was laying lifeless on the floor. I checked his bed, and I saw that the tissue paper was scattered all over the place. The cat must have tried to play with his breakfast before putting an end to Leeon's life. Poor thing. This was so mean...

I had to wake my son up to let him know. His first question was, "Where did the cat come from?". He is just so fond of closing the windows everytime he goes to bed since he is afraid of things getting into the house while we are sleeping. Must be some of those things he has watched on T.V. After I have answered his questions, I heard his voice crack while giving his childish comments on what had happened. I know he was about to cry...

I left the room to get Leeon's body and put it in a box. Just in case my son wants to bury him. When I got back, I heard my son's sobs. He was crying!!! I had to comfort him... I had to let him know that its ok... That I will buy him a new pair...

With this being said... he stopped crying.... and said he wants to get some sleep again... Whew! That's all that he wants... a new hamster... a new Leeon...

Goodbye Leeon... I hope we made your last days here on earth a memorable one. Don't worry I will try to catch that cat who did this to u... hmph...

Yron - Abi Wedding

After 3 years of being in the relationship, Yron Retuta and Abi Oropeza exchanged their vows last December 13, 2008 in St. Therese Parish Church in U.P. Los Baños. I was included in the briday entourage by accident since my friend Hazel, is having a very sensitive pregnancy and has been advised to be glued in bed. This, by the way, is my third time to be included in the entourage. My first was during one of my student's wedding, where I wore a pink dress; the second was also during the student's where I wore violet dress and I didnt make it to the church on time!!! Pictorial na nun dumating ako, ahehehe!!!

With me were TL James, his mom, Stephen and his kid Nicole, Zac and his girfriend Grace.

I sang "From this Moment" by Shania Twain. This is actually my song to my ex, Ryan Sancha - the father of my kid. I almost got carried away by the song and the thought that, another man fulfilled the promise that every woman desires. I envy Abi. She is indeed very lucky to have Yron as her husband. Very faithful and responsible. How I wish the next time that I will be visiting the church, I would no longer be one of the "abay" but hopefully I will be the one walking in the red carpet.

To Yron and Abi, may you always find the love and happiness in your hearts. Congratulations!
